Punk/garage group The Peasants are a powerful band with a lot to say. They have opened for notable acts such as Aerosmith, The White Stripes and The Stray Cats. Their songs have appeared on MTV, VH-1, Night Line, Jimmy Kimmel Live, World News Tonight and Good Morning America.

During the summer months The Peasants are a Boston tourist attraction, regularly playing to thousands of people in Harvard Square, the one place in the United States where musicians are legally allowed to play outside.

The Peasants have been played on over 250 college radio stations, completed 10 US tours, 5 European tours and played hundreds of New England shows. During college term, Pete tours the country, promoting his latest record, equally comfortable performing solo or with The Peasants.

They are presently back in Boston working on the latest Peasant CD set for release summer 2005. In addition to their regular performances and recordings, The Peasants’ front man Pete Cassani is co-founder of The Love Your Enemy Tour, a rock festival tour that will be touring the United States waging peace through music beginning Fall 2005.
